And the biscuit tally is...
49,940
Today we baked another 4,810 biscuits, bringing us close to 50,000 biscuits as we fill more orders and prepare for a final crew at the Cherry Hut tomorrow.
Now, last week there was a question - how many ingredients have we used? As of late Monday afternoon, that would be an astonishing 2 tonnes!!! Made up of :
238kg Coconut, 570kg Sugar, 390kg Plain Flour, 240kg Rolled Oats, 416kg Butter, 108kg Golden Syrup, 6kg Bicarb and 2L Vanilla Essence. A total of 1970kg of ingredients brought in, passed through all the stations, packed and delivered! Added to that is the 1000's of cello bags, around 2.5 kilometres of ribbon and a few other bits and pieces...
Straight to the bags today, we're right for butter
for the time being...
Taylah, Jennifer and Adrita.
And Gary working away busily too.
Labels, Alice and Stuart got this under control.
Laurie and Michael are on the tricky job of
threading gumnuts.
Along with Michael and Dean.
Shane and David and another mix nearly ready.
Matthew proudly displaying his Nirvana shirt
but even more proudly another pot of butter,
working with Joy in the kitchen.
Dallas and David on a roll in the kitchen.
Anna and Marielle in the pantry on one table.
Viva and Jenn on the other.
You want biscuits?
We've got this many and more says Heather.
Fast and furious lifting by Bron and Deb.
Smiles at the packing table, Tereza and Julie.
Biscuits are counted out on a sheet with
10 circles before being packed in bags.
Xavier and Alyson and
more smiles at the packing table!
And with a flourish of a ribbon they fly out the door!
Natasha and Jess putting the finishing touches
to today's deliveries.
And then there's today's visitor helpers!
Chloe doing an amazing job lifting
with aunty Heather.
Busy and concentrating on the task with Kelly.
And today's Aurora Energy volunteers of course!
Just one more day to go tomorrow, a little baking, some selling and a frightful lot of cleaning up!!! See you for that final tally tomorrow.
